Teleprompy for iPhone, version 1.0

Email sharma3361in@gmail.com. Replies usually within two days. If a take went wrong, say which iPhone and iOS version you use and roughly when it happened.

Getting started

  1. Tap New script and paste or type what you want to say. You can also import .txt, Markdown and Word files.
  2. Tap Record this script. Allow the camera, the microphone and speech recognition when asked. All three run on the phone.
  3. Read the script out loud. It scrolls at the speed you speak. Tap the red button to start and stop a take.
  4. On the review screen choose a caption look, then export clean, export with captions, or save the SRT/VTT file.

Common questions

The prompter is not moving when I speak

Check that the microphone and speech recognition permissions are on in Settings › Teleprompy. Speech recognition works best in a quiet room, holding the phone at arm's length. If the prompter loses you, keep reading: it re-finds your place within a few words.

Where do my recordings go?

Takes are kept inside the app until you save them. Tap Save to Photos on the review screen, or open the Takes library from the home screen to find older takes. Nothing is uploaded anywhere.

What is the difference between the free version and Teleprompy Full?

Free includes the whole prompter, recording up to 3 minutes per take, and SRT/VTT caption files, with no watermark. Teleprompy Full is a one-time purchase that removes the take limit and unlocks burned-in captions. There is no subscription.

I bought Teleprompy Full but it shows as locked

Open Settings inside the app and tap Restore purchase. Make sure the phone is signed in to the same Apple Account that made the purchase.

Captions are slightly out of time

Captions are timed from your voice while you record. Long pauses or background noise can shift them a little. Trim the start or end on the review screen, then export again.

Text behind me is not going behind me

Behind You needs to see your head and shoulders clearly against the background. Fill the frame, face the light, and avoid busy backgrounds. If the phone cannot separate you from the background, the words are shown in front so they stay readable.

Deleting scripts and takes

Swipe a script or a take to delete it. Deleting the app removes everything it stored.

Privacy

Teleprompy collects no data. Read the privacy policy.
